I liked the Montgomery Taggert series when I was younger, but this book was just goofy fairy Godmothers, a division of Heaven called The Kitchen, and a whole lot of stereotypes and cliche characters.

When Berni went to heaven she found she had to make a stop in the Kitchen before she was allowed to go on Her challenge was to help a young lady who was like a slave to her family and having no outside friends male type to change that situation Lively and entertaining reading

I loved the Fairy Godmother appeal in this book Especially coming from someone who never experienced the dilemma herself and had no idea how to handle it I thought the entire concept was genius Then again, Jude Deveraux is one of my all time favorite authors and there aren t many of her books that I didn t enjoy I especially enjoyed the fat idea Every woman isn t a stick figure and to have an attractive man loving her regardless or because of her size was a treat I couldn t put this book down.

This book seemed like one narrated by another person I read it only to find out how it ENDED The end was a set up for the next story If that s true I ll be stopping here.

Jude Deveraux once again brings life and wonder to her characters There are few authors who can develop personalities and plot lines like her I ve been reading her books for many, many years since I first read Knight in Shining Armor and she became my favorite author Thank you again
